What stuns me about this trip is that when you set off you imagine you are the benefactor visiting an impoverished, if naturally beautiful backwater - somewhere down there in the third world where they earn less than a dollar a day and suffer an epidemic of aids, civil war, and a host of other hardships. So how come they are the ones bearing gifts and why does it seem that they are the ones to be envied in so many ways!
